Then come to Killeshandra. There are numerous lakes and rivers in the area. Killykeen Forest Park and Lough Oughter system provide some of the best coarse angling in the county. Species available are pike, perch, bream, roach, rudd, and hybrids.There are a big network of lakes available to anglers offering good bank and boat fishing with stands on some of the lakes. Well-known lakes are: Town Lake , Tullyguide, Gortnanoul, Killykeen, Eonish, Derries, Tawlagh and Carr’s Lake, Corglass, Bawn, Rockfield, Disert , Dereskit and Glasshouse.There is no licence required for coarse angling in Killeshandra. Angler friendly accommodation widely available in the area, with bait fridge and fishing tackle storage facilities.

There is one trout fishery on the outskirts of village, Creenagh Lake a permit is required to fish this lake. Fishing from boat.
